Koh Samui – Chaweng beach or Lamai Beach? BEST resort?

I am planning an offsite meeting for a group of managers at my company. There will be about 15-18 people total. We want to be in THE BEST location, in THE BEST hotel on THE BEST beach! So, Chaweng Beach vs. Lamai — which is better? Which location is closer to some fun night life and restaurants so we can have fun, nice meals, but folks who arent so fun can go home easily when they want?

Now, which hotel is the nicest on Chaweng and Lamai? ANd on the water/beach?
